Saved?! - Videography and Effects

This clip used videography above and below the water to demonstrate the meaning of a word whose origin was related to the sinking of a ship. A GoPro camera was used for filming and the word as animated with Adobe After Effects.

Responsibilities: Videography, Visual Effects, and Animation
Tools Used: GoPro Camera and Adobe After Effects

Saved?! - 3D Animation

This animation was used to illustrate the meaning of the term "repentance," which can be described as "turning around." Specifically, it was meant to show that if you did not change the direction you were going, the results would be predictably the same as when you started, even if you had a life-changing event in the middle.

Responsibilities: Animator
Tools Used: Cinema 4D

Saved?! - 3D Animation and Compositing

To illustrate the purpose of a bridge getting someone from "Point A" to "Point B," a 3D model of a bridge and the letters "A" and "B" were composited over a video flyover of a river. The construction of the bridge was animated and the bridge was built over the water. Then the narration was put in over the video in Premiere Pro.

Responsibilities: Animator, Compositor, and Editor
Tools Used: Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Premiere Pro

Saved?! - Videography and Effects

This video clip was recorded for the Saved?! TV series. Since the clip was supposed to be a flashback to the Roman Empire, effects were added to make it more dreamy and ethereal.

Responsibilities: Videographer, Editor, Visual Effects
Tools Used: Sony HDR-FX1 Videocamera and Adobe Premiere Pro

Saved?! - 3D Animation

This video clip was created in Cinema 4D. A simulated game board was created along with the environment. Two types of individual soldiers were cloned to create two armies. Then, the armies were animated toward each other, smoke added for the collision, and then the defeated army was removed. After Cinema 4D exported the video, audio was added in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Responsibilities: Editor, Visual Effects, and Animator
Tools Used: Adobe Premiere Pro and Cinema 4D

Vyond - Animation

This video was created using Vyond. This video gives information about a Learning Management System (LMS) as an educational tool and explains what faculty and students can do with an LMS.

Responsibilities: Writer and Animator
Tools Used: Vyond

TFTWBC - Animation

This video was created using Doodly. It gives learners instructions on how to access the Truth For The World Bible College using the Moodle mobile application.

Responsibilities: Writer, Voiceover Artist, and Editor
Tools Used: Doodly and Adobe Audition

Saved?! - 3D Animation and Compositing

This is another example of 3D animation being placed over video, again for the Saved?! TV series. This animation is meant to illustrate how a concept is a foundation, and when that foundation is removed, the structure collapses and shatters. The 3D animation was made in Cinema4D and was composited over video in After Effects. A dust cloud was also added into the destruction. Narration and sound effects were added to the video in Premiere Pro.

Responsibilities: Animator, Compositor, and Editor
Tools Used: Cinema 4D, After Effects, and Premiere Pro

Saved?! - 3D Animation

This TV series open was created using Adobe Premiere Pro and Cinema 4D. Visible video clips were pulled and used as textures on the hexagonal shapes within Cinema 4D. The shapes, text, and environment were created in Cinema 4D. Lighting and animation were also added in Cinema 4D. After Cinema 4D exported the video, audio was added in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Responsibilities: Editor, Visual Effects, and Animator
Tools Used: Adobe Premiere Pro and Cinema 4D

Saved?! - Animation

This video was created using Adobe Animate. Characters were animated individually by recording different passes. Then the composite was exported.

Responsibilities: Writer, Voiceover Artist, and Animator
Tools Used: Adobe Animate and Adobe Audition

Saved?! - 3D Animation from 2D Images

This video was created using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects. Portions of the still image were cut out in Adobe Photoshop to be converted into layers. The holes created when portions were cut out were partially filled back in so that the holes would not be visible when the cut out layers above them moved. Then, the layers were animated in Adobe After Effects to create animation and depth from a 2D still image.

Responsibilities: Graphics Preparer and Animator
Tools Used: Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects
